The European Union will not directly regulate quality and ingredients of products in individual member states. The objections of the Czech Republic and other Visegrad Group countries that requested the European Commission to ban the practice when a product sold in two countries under the same brand has different ingredients were thus refused. The countries were not successful with the request in Brussels. The EU will only have the situation analysed. If a problem is really found, the EU will recommend to individual European states how to improve food quality surveillance.
